Dr. Cocohoba serves as the clinical pharmacist for the UCSF Women’s HIV Program where she runs an antiretroviral treatment adherence program and provides consultations for patients and providers regarding antiretroviral therapy, drug interactions, and resistance testing.  She has served as faculty for various programs of the San Francisco AIDS Education and Training Centers, and educates student pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and nursing students on the topics of adherence, communication, and HIV pharmacotherapy.  Dr. Cocohoba was granted a K23 career development award from the National Institutes of Mental Health to study pharmacy interventions to increase adherence to HIV therapy.  She serves on the boards of the Northern California College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Golden Gate Chapter of the California Society of Health Systems Pharmacists.
